LostWorld @ Twin Luck Homestay

The hotel is handy for the theme park, and after many visits to Ipoh, this was my first stay here. I’d give it three stars. Parking was sufficient, the surroundings were nice, and staff helped pedestrians cross to breakfast by pressing the traffic light button. The room had two large bottles of drinking water. A few things could be better. The bed and pillows were too hard, and I was glad I’d brought my own pillow. The shampoo and body wash were very jelly-like, hard to squeeze out, and didn’t foam much. The hair dryer’s airflow was weak and it wasn’t hot enough even at the highest setting. My short hair was manageable, but I imagine long hair would take ages to dry. Breakfast staff dropped a glass while clearing the next table. Accidents happen, but they didn’t apologize to us or the guests across from us. Luckily no one was hurt. When they swept up the pieces, some glass remained on the floor, and I had to point it out. That could have been a safety issue.

The staff were wonderful, and the family suite was very clean, with enough room for all of us. There’s no pool, but the theme park is only minutes away. We had breakfast at the cafe by the park entrance. I’d love to return. My only hope is that they open a cafe or two at the hotel for guests.

Our Exotic Room had two single beds and was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The location is very convenient, just a short walk from Sunway Lost World of Tambun. We also got complimentary Hot Spring Night tickets for two, and I liked finding Ipoh white coffee sachets in the room. Breakfast at Garden Terrace tasted good, though there wasn’t a huge range of choices. It rained during our stay, so we couldn’t visit the Luminous Forest. That gives us a reason to come back. I’d happily stay here again.

The room was comfortable, but the shower water heater was terrible. There was no hot water, just very cold water. Breakfast was the worst I’ve had. It was very basic and had no meat at all, only vegetarian options, not even chicken. It wasn’t worth the price.
