MH Hotel Ipoh

The location works well for my job, which is the fair point in this hotel's favor. I've been staying here for years, though, and the repeated room and service problems haven't improved. The air conditioning has had issues on several stays, with gas being pumped in as a fix. I have told reception a few times, but there's still no permanent solution. Some rooms also lack hot shower water, despite repeated requests to resolve it. Certain floors smell of tobacco, which made staying overnight unpleasant and affected my rest. Reception used to be good, with the older staff often helping with my needs. These days, I find the receptionists rude and aggressive. When I asked for an extra key card, one demanded a RM100 deposit, then, after I calmly explained I'd stayed for over five years because of work, snapped, 'You want or not? RM50 is the final answer.' I was shocked by how a long-time customer was treated. Room cleaning is another issue. Sometimes the bed looks like it's just been put back in order, while dirt is still clearly visible on the sheets and blankets.

On 16 Feb at about 6:15 p.m., during very heavy rain, I asked the security guard at the covered parking area twice to let me enter. I explained the situation, but he refused. I had to leave my car and walk through the rain, and my clothes got completely soaked. What upset me most was that, after I was already out of the car and wet, the guard then let the vehicle into the covered area. The inconsistent decision caused needless discomfort and inconvenience. I understand guards need to follow rules, but I think they should be able to use reasonable judgment in extreme weather. I hope management reviews what happened and gives clearer guidance and training to avoid a repeat. I'd appreciate a response to this complaint.

The sunrise was really nice, and the place was very clean. It's just a simple old style air-conditioned room, conveniently close to the highway. I stopped to stay and charge my BYD M6 EV before heading up Cameron Highland.

I wasn’t staying at MH Hotel, just using its EV charger, when I accidentally left my wallet behind. The security guard found it and passed it to Fatin and Azreen, who arranged to courier it back to me since I’m not from Ipoh. Everything was still there. They even called my bank to cancel my card and left their contact details so I could get in touch and retrieve the wallet. I’m really grateful to them and the management for being so kind and honest. Thank you again.
