I wouldn't recommend this place, or Ipoh itself. It's a long way from the city centre, in a rather run-down area, and seeing abandoned vehicles next to the hotel doesn't inspire confidence. The air conditioning needs an update and wasn't reliable. Bus service to this part of Ipoh was hit or miss.

The receptionist was really friendly and helpful, and you could feel his enthusiasm. Room 20X is on the small side, but for a short stay the price is reasonable and the room is good enough.

The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The location is about a 10-minute walk from the city centre, so it isn't too bad, but walking there at night felt a little scary. I definitely wouldn't recommend it for a woman travelling solo.

The host was even better than the hotel itself. It's in a great spot too, with easy access to everything you might need.

The service was poor. The Indian man argued with a customer instead of serving them properly.
