Seemsoon Hotel

The room was clean overall, though I noticed dust by the window and on the curtain, perhaps because the hotel is quite old. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and there was no odd smell in the room or bathroom. The bathroom had both a bathtub and a shower. Staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The location makes it easy to reach the town center and nearby well known places to eat. There was parking that looked able to fit around 10-20 cars. A Korea-branded dispenser in the lobby offered hot and filtered water, and the rooms had basic amenities. I had a good, well priced stay with family on a short Ipoh trip.

We mainly needed a place to sleep before carrying on our journey the next day, and the price was reasonable if you can overlook a few things. There are parking spaces in front, but a deposit is required when you check in and returned at checkout. The room felt dated. There was dust on the table and some food marks hadn't been cleaned properly. One bathroom floor drain was very slow, the sheets and pillowcases looked old, and one sheet had a small hole.

I've stayed here three or four times and chose it again because it has parking. But last night there was no space for us. We told the guard and receptionist we didn't feel safe parking outside the hotel, and they didn't seem to care. We ended up having to leave and continue our long journey because nobody could help us. When we asked for a refund, they didn't bother assisting either. After this, I won't recommend the hotel or stay here again if we return to Ipoh.

I barely slept during my stay because of nonstop noise from the air con fan, vent, and water pipes. It went on day and night, 24/7, and made the room impossible to sleep in. It was so irritating and distracting. That's not acceptable for a hotel, and I wouldn't recommend this place.
