One helpful thing: the receptionist let me leave my suitcase in his cage for a few hours because I had an early evening flight. Thanks for that. He also changed the sheets on one of the two beds immediately when I asked, and said "sorry". Still, I shouldn't have had to ask. As soon as I entered the room, the bedsheets smelled like they hadn't been changed since the previous guests. The reception area felt like a cage too, with passports and money passed through a metal rack. Both receptionists smoked at the hotel. The older man smoked by chairs facing several rooms, and the other smoked in his cage. Smoking indoors isn't allowed, and the smoke gets into the rooms. There was only one socket, high up near the TV, which made it impractical to work on my laptop.

I was here for one night because of work. The staff caused no problems and showed me the room before I agreed to stay. There were issues with cleanliness and soundproofing. I heard someone using what sounded like a mortar before 6 in the morning, plus what sounded like someone watching a drama very late and again early in the morning. Some bathroom corners hadn't been cleaned properly, and there was still a cigarette butt on the floor. A small cockroach walked under the bed, and I couldn't stomp on it before it hid. The electrical sockets weren't in a good spot either. We use phones and need to charge them overnight while sleeping, but there were only two sockets near the TV, at a height that wasn't convenient for charging a phone.

I was there for a couple of hours, and the receptionist, an uncle, honestly charged me RM 30 instead of RM 60. I appreciate it, thank you.
