Somerset Medini Iskandar Puteri

We kept choosing the One-Bedroom Premier, which had just the right space and comfort for us, and the full kitchen made our nearly four months at Somerset Medini much easier. It really started to feel like home. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. LEGOLAND is very close, and having an EV charger nearby was handy. Breakfast changed from day to day, so it didn’t get dull; the choice was a little limited, but still fine. I loved the stay enough to spend months there, and would gladly return for a short or long visit.

The soft mattress and pillows, big bedroom, and view of Legoland made the One-Bedroom Premier enjoyable, especially for two adults and a toddler. There’s a makeup table, iron, hair dryer, a large bathroom, and a working kitchen with utensils and a microwave. The living room and bedroom each have a TV, though neither is smart, and there’s no bathtub. I was disappointed there was no washing machine for my week-long stay, and the balcony was locked, so I couldn’t enjoy the view from there. The pool has areas for adults and kids, and there’s a gym and children’s playroom. It’s very kid-friendly. Down at Level LG, there’s a mini mart and 7E, with Mall of Medini about 100m across the way. You can walk through the mall to Legoland, so this is worth considering if that’s your destination. Otherwise it felt much like Airbnb. I booked nearly a week after seeing a surprisingly low price, less than RM300 a night for a four-star hotel with breakfast and a One-Bedroom Premier. After staying, I could see why it cost less than some alternatives. The lobby smells nice, but it’s on Level 2. From basement parking you take a lift there, pass reception, then use another lift to reach the rooms. Parking costs extra. I think I paid RM5 per day for the week. There’s no access card, so each time I came or went I had to wait for a guard to walk over slowly and open the gate. The “Park with own risk” sticker also seemed odd when we were paying for parking. Check-in and checkout weren’t smooth. Reception and housekeeping were good, but there was no bellboy to bring my suitcases from the car park to my room. Even if I’d asked, I felt they’d only have taken them from the room to the lobby, not down to the car. That gave the place Airbnb vibes. Breakfast was acceptable, with fruit, coffee, drinks, rice and noodles, proteins, salads, bread, plain croissants, and jam. There were no salami, beef, or chicken slices. It’s fine if you don’t eat much in the morning, and I still enjoyed my stay.

We had a warm, lovely stay at Somerset Medini Iskandar Puteri for two days and one night. The staff were kind and patient with us even though I’m not from Malaysia and wasn’t fluent in their language. Legoland Malaysia is an easy walk away, and driving there would cost very little. It’s a comfortable, nice place to stay if you’re visiting Legoland. Thanks so much for the hospitality~

I stayed four nights in a studio, and the room was cozy, clean, spacious, and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, the water pressure was good, and HBO was available for movies. Check-in and checkout were easy. The breakfast choices were a bit limited, but I enjoyed them, especially the ready-made Green Lettuce Salad. Everyone provided good service, from reception to the breakfast buffet staff. They were attentive and would call to check whether I needed housekeeping whenever I put up the Do Not Disturb sign. They tried my room and mobile phone. Parking isn’t free, it’s charged per night, and you need to show the receipt to the guard when entering and leaving.
