D'Villa at Janda Baik

Please take care around the tables in some rooms. Several are uneven or sloped, yet fragile porcelain cups are placed on them, which could lead to accidents. I’ve heard of incidents related to this, and it could be especially hazardous for families with young children. I hope management acts promptly to fix these safety issues so guests can have a more secure and comfortable stay.

We were the only group there, which made the villa feel peaceful. The cool weather and lovely view added to a great stay. Parking was convenient, and the room was comfortable with few insects around. We only had breakfast, which was okay. We didn’t try lunch or dinner, so I can’t comment on those.

We’ve just finished a 3D2N team-building event at D'Villa Janda Baik. The first impression was good, but things went downhill starting with the first meal. The food seemed not to be ready for our arrival, and some dishes were undercooked. Breakfast was the worst: plain nasi lemak with uncooked sambal, then mee hoon and boiled eggs the next day. There weren’t enough drinks, and they were never refilled. Our room was full of bed bugs and felt as if it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. The floor was dirty, and I didn’t dare use the towels, thank God I brought my own. There was no cell signal for Maxis or Digi, and the WiFi only worked in the eating area. Way below par for me.

The place has a spellbinding view, and the rooms and facilities were clean and well kept. Nights are really cool, and the view is a wow. There’s no network coverage and no WiFi at the resort. They don’t have food on site, though the PIC can arrange it.
