The food was a major letdown. For RM35 per person per meal, we got slimy fried rice, fish that smelled and had little taste, cold grilled chicken, instant mashed potatoes, and cheap sausages. We ordered for about 90 people but there seemed to be food for only 45 at most. Cooking or bringing in catering wasn't an option, so guests had to order through management. Even then, the poolside restaurant meant the pool closed early and visitors walked past the rooms. There was no privacy, even though we had booked the whole venue for our event. We also had the water turned off after 6 pm. Management gave odd explanations, including that we had used too much water for showers or cooked illegally in the dining hall, though all we had done was warm up leftovers. They also blamed a tap supposedly left running, but we checked and that wasn't the case. I've never had this happen anywhere else I've stayed. If they're worried about the water bill, running a hospitality place may not be for them. There is enough room for large groups, and the traditional living area and lawn work well for photos and family day activities. It's a nice spot for Instagram pictures, but I wouldn't choose it for events or family days. Most of the other reviews seem to be about the poolside restaurant, not the homestay.

There are a few village-style houses to stay in, though watch out for mosquitoes. The pool wasn't very clean and seemed to have a high chlorine concentration. We still went for a swim and enjoyed it.

A quiet little hidden gem for a relaxing break with your partner or family. The traditional Melaka house design gives it a real kampung feel, and the surroundings are clean and comfortable. Grab a coffee and you can spend the whole day unwinding without doing much. The big pool is a plus, and the kids loved it.

There are room, dorm, and homestay options here, and the chalet has a lovely classic village style that looks great in photos. The large pool has separate areas for kids and adults. Beside it, the cafe serves a range of tasty food and drinks. It's also close to the city and places to eat, so it's a good pick for a Melaka visit if you want a village-style stay.
