The Airbnb cost $172 sgd and had three bedrooms, which was a plus. The location felt ulu, though. Grab dropped me in a different neighbourhood across the way, so I had to walk around the lake to the back gate. We also spotted a cockroach by the lift.

The unit is poorly maintained, and it seemed like the Host and Co Host hadn’t checked on it in a long time. The cleaner also hadn’t done a good job. There were handprints left in the cupboard, with lots of extra sheets shoved inside, leaving no proper space to store things or hang clothes. The room mirror had been taken down without notice and wasn’t replaced. The aircon was old and weak, and its remote wouldn’t adjust the temperature. The rain shower had mold and wouldn’t give hot water. The shower room was dirty, with wall stains and ants in the drain. The bath door didn’t work, and a live cockroach was stuck between the doors. I was extremely disappointed with WL Stay by Wilkes Ian and team. The Host and Co host seemed unfamiliar with the apartment stay. Check-in instructions were unclear about where Grab should drop you and how to walk to the apartment, and I had to ask. They also didn’t provide a guest card for the guard post. The condo itself is old, with no aircon in the lobby or lift and limited, poorly maintained amenities. While showering, a cockroach came out of the broken bath door. I could go on, but I’ll stop here.

There aren’t many food stalls close by, though LAT restaurant is inside A2. Traffic is really congested where the lanes merge. The apartment dates from 2014 and shows wear and tear. The swimming pool is still in decent shape, and the basketball courts have been repaired. Overall, it may not be the best place to stay.

The building and facilities are quite run down and need maintenance. My booked place felt as if nobody had stayed there for a long time. Cleanliness was zero for me: I found three baby cockroaches, plus ants and spiders in the room. The location is okay if you drive, but otherwise you’ll need to use Grab. Walking out isn’t advisable, especially at night. I won’t stay here again.
