Fully Hotel Johor Jaya

The booking photos showed bright, clean rooms, but the room I got was the opposite. It reeked of cigarette smoke, even though I had specifically booked a non-smoking room. The sheets were stained and dirty, with hair and smudges, and there were blood-like marks on the pillow. The floor felt sticky and filthy too, so I didn’t want to sit on the bed and even considered sleeping on the floor. Mosquitoes were everywhere, buzzing and biting. I killed at least 12, and there was no net, repellent, or working fan to help. I spent half the night swatting them and the rest being bitten. The door wouldn’t lock, so I pushed a chair against it and felt unsafe. At reception, the man was rude and offered no apology or help. He demanded an extra charge without explaining it, then insisted on RM20 cash as a deposit before handing over the key. I got no receipt, just “rules.” I left the next morning for a better hotel, exhausted, itchy, paranoid, and furious. It felt like a survival horror game, and I wouldn’t wish the night on anyone. If I could give a negative star rating, I would.

The room stank of cigarettes. I had to sleep with a mask on all night. A terrible experience.

The place was clean and comfortable, with a pleasant environment. The staff were friendly, nice, and very helpful.

They were very accommodating.
