At this low price, you get what you pay for, so it’s probably not a stay for fussy people. The room was dirty, with lots of stains on the sheets, pillowcase, and floor towel outside the toilet. Ants were crawling on the pillows and bed. I’m not sure whether this is normal for homestays, but there was only hand soap, no bath soap or shampoo. The woman at the counter was pleasant, and check-in went smoothly despite our last-minute booking. There’s a water dispenser by the counter, and check-out was easy, just leave the keys there. The walls are thin, though that didn’t bother us since it was quiet during our short stay.

The pillows and towels were yellow and dark, so I’m unsure how clean they were. I didn’t have any problems during my stay and didn’t see bedbugs. If you’re looking for a cheap place, don’t expect it to be as nice as a hotel. There was no toothbrush, and the receptionist was away about half the time.

The location was good, and the sheets looked clean, but there were a lot of ants and dark or moldy-looking spots on one wall. The walls were paper thin, so we heard everything in the corridor, including people checking in. It was very noisy. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all, and smoke from people smoking outside came into our room.

The rooms are small, as you’d expect from a basic budget homestay, so don’t come looking for luxury. I’d still give it four stars for the strategic location, close to restaurants, food stalls, and malls.
