The Junior Suite was a good deal for four people, with a large room, two big beds, a sofa bed, and a small dining table. The air conditioning worked and, most importantly, there was a hot shower. On the downside, the wifi was terrible and the TV kept losing signal. The windows were dirty, and the shared ironing boards were left outside for everyone to use. It’s not easy to get to without your own transport. Still, for the low price it wasn’t too bad.

The location worked well, with mini marts and eateries about 10m behind the hotel, though we weren’t sure how reliable those food places were. KSL was about RM5 by Grab, and there were lots of food choices around. It was quiet between rooms, so sleep wasn’t an issue. The common iron in each lift lobby was handy. I was worried by the mixed reviews, but the room turned out to be spacious, with toiletries and standard refreshments. Internet was fast and the air conditioning cool, though it took a while to chill the room. The bed was comfortable, somewhere between soft and firm. Decor and lighting were tasteful enough, and the carpark view didn’t bother us. There was some wear on the wallpaper and bathroom blinds, and occasional clumps of hair. Towels were a bit old and thin but okay. Toilet paper had to be collected from reception; there were plenty of hangers and a hair dryer. The fire alarm went off at 5am, apparently a false alarm, and I’m not sure whether that happens often. They take a RM100 deposit upfront under the non-smoking policy. For a 3-star hotel, it felt above average for the price, a no-frills stay.

We spent three nights here over the Christmas holidays. The room was roomy, with two twin beds. The strong urine smell from the bathroom was there as soon as we checked in, and I had to clean it several times. It’s still fine as a place to sleep, but not for leisure.

The room worked well for a family, with plenty of space and two comfortable queen beds. It was a little dusty, though. For under 150 a night, it felt like decent value for an Executive Family room, as long as you don't expect too much. The parking is very narrow, and the lobby is on level two, so we couldn't find it on the ground floor. Reception also felt unfriendly. They didn't even say hello when people came in.
