The staff and cleaner were friendly, and the AC stayed quite cold even when I set it to 26. I heard other guests asking to change rooms because theirs were dirty, though I don’t know how that was resolved. I also found a dead mosquito on the aircon controller and a dead ant on the bed. The cleaner had a good attitude, but I wasn’t convinced the room had been cleaned properly. The pillows and bed had lots of stains, and there was hair on the pillows. I asked for a replacement pillow, but the cleaner said even a new one from the laundry might have hair on it. I couldn’t accept that, but stopped arguing so it wouldn’t spoil my trip. The replacement still had a stain, so I covered the pillow with a fresh towel and bought a blanket to cover the bed. When I asked for a fresh towel and a floor towel, they came from the same laundry box. I wondered whether they were washed together or just put together for convenience. Either way, it felt disgusting. I know you can’t expect too much at this hotel’s price, but basic cleanliness should still be there. I booked after seeing good Google reviews and couldn’t understand why nobody mentioned the hygiene problem. I definitely won’t book again.
