We booked through Agoda the day before and got a confirmation email, but when we arrived we were told the hotel was full and sent to LTL hotel for the same room. That place was full too. Seriously, the worst experience ever. Update: 17 Feb The owner’s response is interesting, because it isn’t what we were told when we were turned away. We were told the room had been taken from one day before our arrival, and we got there at 4 pm, not 5 pm. I never received your automated email or message in Agoda. Please be honest about what you’re writing. It’s possible we were simply fooled by you.

This place might suit someone who only needs a simple place to sleep and doesn’t expect much. I know it’s budget accommodation, but basic upkeep still matters. The walls have stains that could use a repaint or touch-up. A little routine painting during the yearly off-peak period shouldn’t be too difficult. Mirrors could also be wiped with a cloth after checkout. These small cleaning jobs might make people more likely to return. Budget shouldn’t mean leaving things that ought to be clean dirty. The shared fridge was a big red flag for me. It’s nice to have one available for everyone, but it should be cleaned weekly. When I opened it, there were black dots all over. Looking closer, they were dead flies, and I wondered how they’d got trapped inside. The blanket didn’t look clean either. It’s white, but had a greyish cast.

Someone broke into my room and stole my phone. When I asked the person in charge to check the CCTV, they didn’t seem to know how and wouldn’t help. It has to have been an insider. Worst hotel I’ve seen in my life, the service is below standard.

A friend suggested this hotel because it’s right opposite KSL Mall and a bit cheaper than KSL Resort Hotel. The stay was disappointing enough that, although we booked two nights, we checked out after just one. Before we arrived, the hotel messaged asking for RM$291.19 instead of the RM$271.19 I’d booked through Agoda. I replied but got no answer. At check-in I raised it with a male staff member who was topless. He told me to contact Agoda and said his boss had instructed him to collect RM$291.16. The topless guy then just asked me to pay RM$291. I didn’t want to make a scene or give him a hard time, so I paid. The room had a stale smell, like it wasn’t ventilated well. The bed linen was yellowish, the pillow was awful, and the two towels looked more like floor rags. The friend who recommended the hotel was very disappointed too and helped by putting an air purifier in the room. I wouldn’t recommend it to friends.
