Hotel Suan Bee

I had a poor experience. The place is a bit run-down, and the front desk did little besides register guests. There are much better options nearby for the same rate. I strongly recommend the owner keep an eye on things.

The room was in okay condition, but the service was poor. On the second day, we pulled the bed linen and pillowcase onto the floor on purpose, expecting housekeeping to replace them. When we got back, the dirty sheets and blanket were still scattered on the floor and the job hadn’t been done. In the end, the receptionist had to change the linen for the housekeeper.

The room problems were the last straw. One room had a damp, strange smell, and its air conditioning suddenly stopped working, making an already difficult stay uncomfortable. We had booked for four people, but the lift was being repaired when we arrived. My parents have knee problems and couldn't manage the stairs to our room on the third floor. Supervisor Steven offered a ground-floor room and another on the third floor, but said we'd need to pay the difference for both. His other option was a refund through Agoda, even though our booking was non-refundable. He was rude and unprofessional, leaving us to sort it out with Agoda instead of trying to help. We reluctantly accepted the rooms. Between the accessibility issue, the service, and the condition of the room, this was the worst hotel stay I've had. I wouldn't recommend Hotel Suan Bee, especially to anyone with mobility issues or who expects decent customer service.

Reasonably priced, with parking available. Works well for a short trip.
