The breakfast had plenty to choose from, from nasi lemak and dim sum to fruit, salad, bread, drinks, and eggs or omelettes made to order. The quality was decent, though nothing special, so for a better breakfast you might want to eat out around JB. The pool only runs from 7AM-7PM, and I wish those hours were longer. The gym is small but has the basics, though I can’t remember its hours. The hotel is right beside, or within, Midvalley Southkey mall, which made things very convenient. It’s about a 15-20 minute drive from JB central, and there’s even a free water dispenser. Our room was cozy, clean, and great, apart from some green mould on the outside of the window, which didn’t affect the room itself. Staff were friendly, and room service brought the extra toiletries we asked for after more than 20 minutes. We enjoyed the stay and would come back. It costs more than places like KSL, but the overall experience made up for that.

Even with a busy lobby, Jay and Mia made check-in easy and took time to walk me through the facilities and answer my questions. They were patient, professional, and friendly from the start, and their smiles made me feel looked after. Their attentive service reflects well on St Giles Johor Bahru. Jay and Mia are a real asset to the front office, and I’m sure guests will have a pleasant, memorable stay with staff like them. I’ll recommend the hotel to my family and friends.

We had a good breakfast spread, and the rooms were spacious and clean with a nice view. All the service staff were lovely. The location deserves six stars: you can have hot pot until midnight and be back in your room a minute later.

I was there for a course, so I can’t really comment on the rooms. Parking is shared with the mall at B2. The place feels new, lively, and welcoming, and I’d definitely plan a stay if I get the chance. Food looked and tasted good. No complaints, though nothing stood out. The valet team and guards provided excellent service.

It was my first staycation here, and the room size impressed me. I’ve always been a Hyatt place fan, but trying St.Giles was a good choice, no regrets. I’m a big coffee fan, so Oriental Coffee ☕️ inside the concierge is a must-visit for me.
