Thy Executive Hotel

The room and bathroom were surprisingly clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable enough to give me a good night's sleep. The toilet looked better in person than in the photos, had the usual extras like towels, toothbrushes and a shaver, and I barely saw any black mold on the silicone. A nice surprise. The warm lighting also made the room feel cozy, even if the interior design wasn't really to my taste. I booked a double deluxe room and didn't expect much from the pictures. At first I was a bit underwhelmed, but it grew on me. The window faces a transport warehouse hub, so it can be noisy, though I'm used to that. The location is a bit far out, but I drove and getting into town was no trouble for me. I left something behind and called to ask them to check. When I came back, the male cleaner had already cleared the room and asked if the item he found was what I was looking for. He even thanked me for returning it. Friendly, helpful and hospitable, that man deserves a raise. I judged it by the cover at first and was proved wrong. I'll come back. XOXO

The shower and air conditioning worked well, and the staff we met were polite. Those were about the only bright spots. There was just one person at reception, and no staff were available overnight after 10pm, which seems concerning if there's an emergency. We came with friends for one night and only wanted somewhere clean and comfortable to rest after travelling. Instead, the room was tiny and nothing like the photos. It looked clean at first, but smelled damp and had fine dust throughout. The bed was stiff, there was just one pillow per person, and none of us slept properly. Check-in came with loud drilling. Reception said she didn't know what was going on, would check with maintenance and call back, but no call came. After we followed up several times, we were told renovations on the 4th floor would run until 5pm on a Saturday. Nobody apologized or offered a fix. Facilities are sparse: no restaurant, pool or gym. There are a couple of small snooker tables in the lobby, but they were dusty and neglected, with worn cues. One cue was left in a plant pot and covered in dirt. There's only a vending machine for snacks and drinks. The TV picture and sound were poor, and the free WiFi was unreliable. Mobile data often worked better. It's near a golf course, convenience shops and supermarkets, but proper restaurants are hard to find, with mostly fast food nearby. I wouldn't stay again or recommend it. There are much more comfortable options for the same price.

We chose their largest room, and it was very clean with a comfortable bed and clean toilet. The pillows could be better. The AC needs to run around the clock to keep the room cool, and it took a while to bring the temperature down. Staff were helpful, parking was plentiful, and the TV channels could use an upgrade. It's an affordable option if you want a window, since all the rooms have one. McDonald's is within walking distance, and Giant hypermarket is nearby.

The shower was a highlight, with strong pressure and reliable hot water after a long workday. My room was tidy, clean, and well maintained, which matters on a longer stay. I had stayed here for an extended period before and was happy to return this year for another business trip. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Ruchelle deserves a special mention for being consistently helpful and making me feel welcome. The TV options are limited, but I was there mainly for work, so it didn't bother me.
