101 Hotel Bangi

I booked through Booking.com because most reviews were good, but this was the worst stay I’ve had. The room had no window and smelled of cigarette smoke, which felt suffocating as soon as I walked in. There was no bathroom heater, and the bedding looked unfinished: the sheets were stained, while the blanket was old and torn in places. A child in another room cried and whined at 3 a.m., so I barely slept. The price may be affordable, but this felt more like funding a scam hotel than getting a decent budget stay. Please improve the facilities. At the very least, provide a heater and clean, fresh bedding. People on a tight budget still deserve a nice stay. Thankfully, I’d only booked one night.

In room 806, we were shown inside and told the key was there. We assumed the card in the room was the key, but it wasn’t. The actual key was at the counter, and whenever we wanted to go out, staff there said we had to ask them to unlock the door for us. The management wasn’t transparent about this. Do any hotels really expect guests to manage without their own room key?

This place just sucks. Don’t waste your money, there are better, cheaper, cleaner places closer by. Don’t stay here.

I checked into room 806, but the air conditioner wasn’t cold, the toilet door was broken, and the TV wasn’t working properly. Please fix these things before selling the room. I asked the staff to move me to room 109, and everything there was okay.
