It’s cheap, so for the price it was okay, and the room is massive. There’s a freezer, washing machine, prayer mat, and yassin for Muslim guests. Still, cleanliness bothered me most: two single beds had gecko droppings, and the bed and pillow had yellow spots, so I couldn’t tell if they’d been cleaned. The mattress swallowed me when I sat down, and I ended up sleeping on the floor outside because it felt better. There was no mirror in the toilet, which made washing my face and brushing my teeth awkward, and there were no slippers. The shower and other fixtures weren’t as good as they looked. We had to switch on the water pump outside to get the water heater inside working, but the heat didn’t work anyway.
