Potato Hotel

The bed and comforter were so dirty and smelly, they seemed like they hadn’t been changed or washed. My skin itched all night and I couldn’t sleep well. Really disappointing. I won’t return.

Potato Hotel in Taiping was one of the worst stays I’ve had, and I wouldn’t recommend it. There’s no lift, which was a big inconvenience for my elderly parents, who are over 60 and had to climb the stairs. It felt inconsiderate. The room smelled terrible and didn’t seem properly cleaned or maintained. The blanket was thin and old, and the overall hygiene and upkeep were far below standard. I complained to the staff, but they said the rooms were fully booked. For what they charge, it’s not worth it, and there are better options nearby. I’d avoid it unless it’s your last choice. Please don’t delete or hide my post, it could help others and help your hotel improve.

The service was okay, but I was disappointed that the queen room I booked had faulty electricity, so I had to move to a single room. They said to just put the two single beds together, lmao. I paid for something I expected to be worth the money, so I hope they improve this.

For the price, it’s a really nice place to stay. I’ve been here for several nights already, and it feels friendly and cozy.
