Super OYO 89427 Kavanas Hotel Taiping

The room wasn't perfect, but it was a little better after we asked to move. I don't recommend this place for anyone with dust allergies or a fear of cockroaches. I paid the full amount and found rubbish under the bed, including masks and water bottles that could easily transmit COVID-19 virus. We had to ask for a broom, mop, and a can of Ridsect just to make the room livable. Housekeeping never offered to clean it. The air conditioner was dusty and clearly hadn't been serviced in a while. It kept switching itself off, and I couldn't disable the timer, so I had to wake up several times during the night to turn it back on and couldn't get a fitful sleep. The walls barely block sound, either. I could hear my neighbours showering. Budget hotels shouldn't mean bad service. Please improve the hotel's condition.

The WiFi kept cutting out, and the room could use better upkeep. The night-light knob didn’t work, and cleanliness wasn’t great either. Space is tight, with very little storage, and some rooms don’t even have a table or chair, which is inconvenient.

There wasn’t even toilet paper, soap, or water, and the toilet floor was dirty. The sheets and pillowcase were filthy, while the room smelled bad and was full of dust. I saw tiny bugs and a baby spider near the bed, which was scary. They charged RM100 for nothing. The hotel had apparently already been terminated by OYO, but nobody told me. Worst hotel ever. Definitely not recommended, don’t waste your money on this kind of service.

I booked online for about RM60, but at check-in they demanded another RM40 and said my room would be cancelled if I didn’t pay. The receptionist claimed that extra amount was refundable to my credit card, but the whole process felt unreasonable. For RM100, I got a broken TV and a toilet that didn’t work properly. Add RM30 and you could get a nice, cozy room at a 4 star hotel in selangor, smh. And don’t ask me for proof. The rude receptionist didn’t even give me a receipt. Mr. Receptionist, if you’re dishonest at work, that attitude will catch up with you sooner or later.
