Oyo 90180 Gemilang Hotel Kerteh

We stayed less than an hour because the room was dusty, the floor was dirty, the sheets and pillows were covered in dust, and the bathroom smelled bad. My husband has sinus problems and immediately started sneezing nonstop, with a runny nose and headache. We asked for a refund because we weren't comfortable staying there. They offered another room, but we declined because we had serious concerns about cleanliness and found another hotel instead. They said they'd ask management about the refund, but never followed up. I contacted them again on 2/1/2026 and got a reply the next day, 3/1/2026, telling me to contact customer service. When I reached customer service days later, I was told refund requests had to be made within 24 hours and supported by photos and videos. Nobody had told us that earlier, and we were charged for a stay we couldn't continue. We were meant to check in on 1/1/2026, but the check-in was extremely poor: we rang the bell several times with no response, and calls to the hotel office went unanswered. Someone only responded after I called the mobile number, then sent instructions on WhatsApp. There was no staff at the hotel. Strongly not recommended.
