Panmour Villa Hotel

The hotel maintenance is poor. There was lots of dust clogging the air ventilation, and I won’t stay here again. On Saturday, September 28th, at about 0800am, I called the front office to report very low water pressure and no warm water. By around 1100am, when I was ready to shower, nothing had been checked and nobody had told me whether it was fixed. I called again because I needed to shower before going out. Only then did they start doing anything, bringing a pail of water for me to shower with and so on. They said the hotel manager was off because it was Saturday, and no one apologized for the inconvenience.

I’ve stayed here regularly since 2018 through my shipping company. The café downstairs has been refurbished and looks fresh, and the food tastes good. I’m a fan of their nasi goreng kampung. The rooms, though, are getting old and really need some refurbishment. It’s 2024 now, and the hotel has always been occupied by ship crews from my company, so I assume it’s making a profit. A little work on the rooms would be nice.

There’s a lift, plenty of convenience stores nearby, and the location is good. The room was spacious, the air conditioning worked well, and there were free channels on the TV. I also liked the very strong shower pressure. But the bathroom ventilation didn’t seem to work, and Wi-Fi wasn’t available in our room on the 3rd floor, which really disappointed me. Another room on that floor, on the side above The Brew Lab cafe, did have superfast Wi-Fi. If our room had Wi-Fi, I’d give it 4.5/5.

I went to the café and really liked the food. It’s a new café and worth trying, though the kitchen has been running for a long time. My kids absolutely loved the golden fried rice. It was genuinely tasty.
