There are cafes, Mekdi, and a convenience shop downstairs, with more shops about a five minute walk away. The apartment itself is nicely decorated and pretty good, with a kettle, a decent sized fridge, cookware, dishes, and cutlery if you want to cook, though KB has plenty of good food. There’s no reception, so the whole process is online: book and pay, then get an email or app message with key collection details. Parking is available in an assigned spot. Use another space at your own risk, since your car might be clamped. This was my first stay at Troika.

Check-in and check-out were easy, and you need a key card to get in and use the lift. The place was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and I felt very aware. We’ll stay here again next time we’re in KB.

We had a great stay in a tidy, lovely apartment with everything we needed. The bed was good and the bathroom was nice, with a fast shower. Salaam suites was a friendly host and responded quickly.

I’d booked and paid in full back in August, but they cancelled at the last minute, just two days before. By then everywhere in Kota Bharu was sold out. I contacted literally every hotel and homestay I could find, and not one had availability. They didn’t even apologize, just cancelled like that.

The location is great and the customer service was good. We were glad they provided telekung and sejadah. The room was nice, but not very clean, with lots of stains on the couch and carpet. No towels were provided, and the toilet was much too dim.
