Basic Hotel

The private double was reasonably priced, and the WiFi and air conditioning were good. The room was decent but small, and the bed was very uncomfortable with sheets that were too small. Nights were noisy, and the toilet seat was cracked.

We stayed three nights, and I'd definitely come back. You get good value for 60-70rm a night, which is why I'd give it four stars, not because it's a four-star hotel. It's within walking distance of the filipino market, with laundry service nearby, plus 7e, kfc and mamak. The room had cool a/c, a TV with movies and a hot shower. The comforter had some odd stains and didn't look very clean, and there were hairs in the toilet flow trap. It can get very noisy at night, though the noise didn't wake me.

The staff were friendly, though they spoke only a little English, enough to help you get by. It's a very basic hotel with a small room, but otherwise comfortable, with a comfy bed, nice bathroom and air conditioning. The bus terminal, KFC and a 7/11 are close by. The main mall and restaurants are within walking distance, as are the night markets, about a 10-minute walk away, and the Sunday markets, around 15 minutes on foot.

There’s no elevator, and the staff weren't friendly. I asked for a glass and the boy said, “I don't think so, we don't have glass here.” He could've just said, “Sorry miss, our hotel don't provide glass.” That would've been okay. I also asked him to put subtitles on the Discovery Channel. He said, “I don't know how to do it, I have no idea. Why you don't ask your friends or maybe at home you don't have Astro!”
