Small and cozy, and recently renovated. The price is good for what you get. It's right in the city center, near the transport hub for Kinabalu NP and other places.

We stayed three nights in a clean room with a good warm shower and a warm welcome. The location is near the city center, and it felt like good value for money. I'd recommend the place, so four stars. On the last night we had to change rooms. The beds there were very hard and the room had no windows, so it wasn't comfortable, but nothing else was available. There's no elevator, and we were on the third floor. Reception wasn't always staffed. The hard mattress is why I'm taking off a star. 🥹🫤

I stayed one night on April 18. When I checked in around 2 AM the following day, the receptionist asked me to pay the tourism tax for one night, so I paid. I later noticed that Agoda had already collected it when I booked. It's only 10Rm, but I'd like a refund. I'm posting on Google because no one answered the phone.

The room and cleaning weren't amazing, but they did the job for a budget hotel. The location was very good, about a five-minute walk to Gaya Street and Jesselton Point. We checked in at 1 AM without any trouble. The staff were super friendly, offered tips and even gave us some bananas from their garden.
