Hotel O Blossom Hotel

The room setup made little sense for four people: it was a twin room with only one power point, and there were no normal cups despite having a hot water kettle. Reaching it was exhausting. I had to climb almost two floors, walk to another building, then go up another three floors. There's no lift, only stairs. I was traveling with my aged parents, and they struggled badly with all those stairs. No help or other option was provided, so this is completely unsuitable for elderly guests. The whole stay was uncomfortable and frustrating. I wouldn't recommend it, especially for families with older members, people carrying luggage, or anyone with mobility concerns.

The room lacked basic things: it had just one power outlet despite being a twin room for four, and there were no regular cups even though a kettle was there. As an elderly guest, I also found the route to the room very difficult. We had to climb multiple flights, walk to a separate building, and climb again. There is no elevator, and going up and down was a painful struggle for me. I saw no consideration for older guests or people with mobility issues. This hotel isn't suitable for seniors, anyone with knee problems, or limited mobility. The stay brought a lot of discomfort and stress, and I wouldn't recommend it to elderly travelers or families with senior members.

I chose Goldenhill Hotel Tanjung Aru for its location and easy airport transfers, but when I arrived to check in, management moved my booking to Blossom Hotel in the Kota Kinabalu city area without asking me or giving advance notice. They said Goldenhill Hotel Tanjung Aru was overbooked. If that was the case, why keep taking bookings? A guest who has paid for an e-hailing ride could be forced to travel again to a hotel even farther from the airport, with extra cost and hassle. This was my third booking there, and each stay had an issue: no hot water in the bathroom on the first, a broken exhaust fan and leaking air conditioner on the second, and this transfer without my consent on the third. My booking was for Goldenhill Hotel Tanjung Aru, check-in 13 Feb 2026 and check-out 14 Feb 2026. I was not allowed to stay there. I was sent instead to Blossom Hotel (formerly known as Stay Inn), which is on my personal blacklist because of its very poor service and accommodation standards. At minimum, management should have contacted me so I could find a better, more strategic alternative. I strongly suggest Goldenhill Hotel Tanjung Aru and Blossom Hotel Asia City be removed from booking platforms. At BLOSSOM HOTEL ASIA CITY, Level 1, Room 106, I found problems throughout the stay. The room type was also wrong: I had booked a Double Deluxe Room with 1 Queen Bed, but was placed in a Twin Room with two single beds. The room had no iron, drinking water, kettle, TV remote, tissue rolls, bath mat, toothpaste, closet, luggage rack, coffee or tea amenities, or writing or makeup table. There was no lift. WiFi failed, the shower water heater and TV didn't work, and the bedroom ceiling was bulging and moldy. The bedroom and entrance ceiling lights were out, the bedside table was scratched, the exhaust fan came off, and the bidet hose hanger was missing. Staff were unfriendly. The area felt unsafe. On the midnight shift, staff made noise on the hotel balcony, as if they were avoiding work, and dirty laundry was left piled in the corridor. I hope Agoda and other booking platforms take action against hotels that don't prioritize guest satisfaction or basic accommodation standards.

When the power went out, nobody came to check on it. They didn't check the blocked toilet either. Then they said my deposit would be returned late for some nonsense reason. Definitely not worth staying here.
