The buffet breakfast had lots of choice and was delicious, and we liked the decent-sized pool and rooftop bar. Staff were consistently friendly and willing to help. We did have a couple of room issues, but once we told them, they came quickly and sorted them out. The hotel is conveniently close to the main shopping malls and restaurants, and we really enjoyed our stay while visiting Kota Kinabalu.

The atmosphere was elegant, peaceful and luxurious, and everything was handled smoothly and thoughtfully. Service at Le Méridien exceeded my expectations, with attentive staff who took genuine care of guests in a warm, professional way. I also had an excellent experience at the buffet restaurant on the first floor. Much of the credit goes to manager Roger: the restaurant ran seamlessly even when busy, and the staff stayed attentive and coordinated. Roger checked in with guests personally to make sure they were happy, without intruding.

We had a lovely anniversary holiday here, and the staff made it memorable by going the extra mile with a smile. The F&B team was especially thoughtful and responsive about our dietary preferences. As a vegan, I was pleasantly surprised they arranged an excellent almond milk tea. They also helped my husband prepare the anniversary celebration 😍. A special thanks to Mohammed Saiful and the BF Operations Manager for their warm hospitality and outstanding service. The room could use better lighting and storage.

The sea-view room was a great choice for watching the sunset, and it was spacious and clean. Check-in and checkout were quick, and they even let me in shortly after 12 pm, which I appreciated. The hotel itself is quite old, and the low-ceilinged common areas felt a bit eerie. Still, I had a good stay over my three nights along the KK coast.

The location was handy for getting around Kota Kinabalu's tourist spots, and check-in went smoothly. Everyone I met, from the entrance staff to reception and the restaurant team, was friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to the receptionist who helped my husband and me check in on 27 January at about 12:38 pm for room 0938. She was excellent, though I didn't catch her name. I'd recommend the hotel to people visiting the area.
