Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai

The breakfast had a very good range of choices, and we enjoyed the well-kept pool and beach. There's a convenience store for snacks and drinks, and my wife found the spa service excellent and reasonably priced. Some resort buildings and restaurants were no longer operating, though. We stayed two nights for a holiday, and the staff were friendly and professional, especially at reception and in the dining area. Our room was spacious and still felt quite new. We chose the ocean building and had a beautiful view. The bathroom was spotless, with a large mirror and built-in LED lighting, and the roomy bathtub had reliable hot water. The shower drain needs attention, since water pooled while we showered. The resort is nicely set away from the city centre. It was very good value for money, and I'd recommend it.

The kids liked having children's channels on the TV, and they had fun at the pool and beach. Breakfast was decent, with enough choice. We were here for one night for a wedding and had a comfortable stay. The staff were great, and the clean room had comfortable furnishings and amenities that all worked. Good value for the current price.

The candlelight dinner was the best part of our anniversary stay. The setting looked lovely, and the atmosphere made the evening special. Fuad looked after us so warmly and attentively, making sure things went smoothly, and added a memorable touch before we left. Thank you to the team for the hospitality. A year ago in April, we had our wedding here, with a big thank you to Vanessa Thien for giving us the wedding vouchers last year. It was such a fun day, honestly feels like yesterday, and rasa macam nak kahwin balik ahhahah 💛 We came back after a year to celebrate our anniversary. The room was comfortable, though if you're celebrating a special occasion and want particular arrangements, I'd let the hotel know beforehand. It was a pleasant stay and a meaningful celebration.

The beach itself had clear water and soft sand, but rubbish washed up along the shore made swimming among it unpleasant and unhygienic. The pool was dirty and poorly maintained, and the slides were chipping and need resurfacing. We were staying on the outskirts of KK and expected to rely on the hotel's four restaurants. To our dismay, most were closed much of the time, with no effort to welcome us or show us a menu. We didn't feel welcome to eat there. The entrance looked deserted, with no guard in the guard house and no street lamps. At night the pathway felt eerie. Trees had taken over some rooms, and facilities seemed neglected apart from the landscape. The room was dated and not very clean, with lizard droppings. I had to call for room service as soon as I entered. The place has a huge plot, a breathtaking view and a private beach, but it has lost its spark and had better days. The hotel has lost its former glory. I'm sharing this with good intentions and hope management takes feedback seriously before the place has to shut down. Please visit and spot-check the workers and the quality of the facilities.
