Oyo 963 Hotel Oriental

All the staff were helpful and friendly 😇, but my experience with the management was really disappointing. I had extended my stay and was due to check out the following Monday after 18 July 2025, with all payments completed and nothing overdue. Mr Darren, though he first seemed helpful and kind, treated me and my friend very badly and showed no respect. The hotel environment was bad too. I'm not coming back, and I can't recommend this person.

RM22 on Agoda is very cheap for a double bed, but the room was basic and the location is tucked away in a hard-to-find corner of an industrial area. Parking is limited. The air con and TV worked, though only local channels were available. The water heater wasn't hot enough and made a loud engine sound when switched on. The toilet tank kept filling nonstop unless I turned off the switch. Lying on the bed felt itchy, so there may be bed bugs. The pillows were hard and blankets thin. There's a hot and cold water dispenser in the second-floor corridor. Two towels were provided, but no floor mat.

I liked that the place is tucked away, and the owner was fine with us coming back in the middle of the night without asking questions, so we had some privacy. The receptionist asked for my plate number, and there was CCTV inside the car park, which made me feel safe. I don't get why people complain about hygiene or air freshener. If you buy an egg, can you expect it to taste like chicken? It's very affordable, and as a backpacker this was much, much better than my previous experience. I had no problems and will book here again next month. Thank you 😂😂

There are workshops all around, and no restaurants nearby. The location is completely unsuitable. This was my first and last visit.
