The little thoughtful extras made my stay at Ritz Residence Kota Kinabalu stand out. They had umbrellas and raincoats, branded perfumes guests could use, plenty of tea, coffee and fizzy drinks, and free daily room service to keep things fresh. The staff were the heart of the place, quick to respond and very helpful, so everything was hassle-free. My room looked great, felt modern and inviting, and was spotless. The service and attention to detail were excellent from the moment I arrived. I had a really good stay and will definitely come back to Ritz Residence next time I'm in Kota Kinabalu. Highly recommended if you're after luxury and top-tier hospitality!

I booked this place during a 12-hour layover so I could shower and freshen up before my next flight, and the staff were extremely friendly. Someone met me on the ground floor and showed me to my room. It was small but thoughtfully designed, fresh, clean, and equipped with everything you'd need, even for a longer stay. There was coffee, tea, water, Wi-Fi, plenty of charging ports and even a battery charger. The layout was compact but worked well: the toilet was by the entrance, the bedroom area was to the left, and beyond it there was a shower and a small bathtub. Though it's inside a mall, it was very quiet except for the occasional plane landing at the nearby airport. The mall location also meant good restaurants and shops were within walking distance. I'd recommend it to anyone with a layover over six hours or a flight out of KK the next day. I wrote the rest before showering, but the water pressure and heat were fantastic. The towels were incredibly soft, and I loved the attention to detail in such a small space. I'd raise my recommendation if I could. They also replied to my questions promptly, reliably and with useful information.

The sunset looked lovely from our window, and we could see one of the two pools I noticed. We used the pool near the gym, while the other one seemed mostly for kids. The gym was spotless and had plenty of equipment, and a staff member kindly showed us where it was since we probably wouldn’t have found it ourselves. Check-in was easy, everyone was so nice, and the room was spacious, beautiful, and quiet. The bathroom had a big shower. Being right in the super mall made dinner outings simple. Honestly one of the nicest places we’ve stayed, especially for that price. Highly recommend.

I couldn’t post another review on bookings, so I’m leaving this here. The host was warm, friendly, and quick to respond, and both check-in and check-out went smoothly. The room was very clean and kept in good shape. It had all the amenities we needed and felt comfortable, almost like home. A peaceful, comfortable option for couples or families. Highly recommend, we’ll come back!
