Tang Dynasty Hotel

The location is handy, close to Anjung Senja and plenty of places to eat. The mall next door is nearly dead, but it has a convenience shop and Mr DIY, and there are lots of hawker stalls outside the lobby for dinner. Parking is RM4 if you bring your ticket to reception, otherwise it costs more. Breakfast had few choices and the same menu every day, with pineapple but no watermelon like at other hotels. Cleanliness was awful. The bathroom walls had moss and algae and looked like they hadn't been cleaned. It makes you wonder what else you can't see is dirty. The bedsheets and blankets were gross. I attached photos and a video. Reception staff don't know how to smile. Please train them!

The adjoining mall is in a run-down state, and the room looked like the renovation had been left halfway through. For a three-star price, though, it's okay, LOL. Breakfast was supposed to start at 6, but nobody showed up until 6:30. When it finally came, it was the sort of ordinary breakfast you could make at home.

The first room was awful: the keycard didn't work, and after I got a new one, I found mouldy walls, a bad smell, and a view facing the air-conditioning compressors. They moved me to a better room, but the whole hotel is badly run down and really needs a makeover.

I was in room 711, and smoke from the room next door seeped in and lingered, possibly through the connecting door. I coughed a lot because of it. The hotel is within walking distance of tourist spots like Philippine market, which is convenient. Apart from the smoking problem, it was good.
