Tune Hotels - 1 Borneo, Kota Kinabalu

The rooms are really small, so it only works if you don't mind tight space. It was pretty clean, though there was a smell, probably from the humidity and lack of windows for ventilation. The direct mall connection is handy for picking up food and other things, and it's a decent hotel to book.

They put me on a higher floor as I’d asked, and check-in was quick. The staff were friendly and explained the hotel amenities, so getting settled felt easy and welcoming. Nothing fancy, just a smooth start to the stay.

The room was quiet and comfortable, which made it easy to get some work done, and it was clean too. The toilet had adjustable hot water, and the hair dryer and other essentials were all there. During my three-day first stay at Tune Hotel 1borneo, the staff even brought my food from reception to me that night without charging, which I hadn't expected. I really liked staying there and would stay again next time. I'd recommend it to others.

The staff were helpful and friendly, but I still wouldn't spend a night here again. The rooms are tiny, the sheets were dirty, and the place felt uncomfortable. The photos on Booking and Google are quite misleading. A room without a window felt like a prison cell, while the street noise was far too loud in a room with windows.
