Unic Hotel

The staff were very helpful, and the room was spacious, clean-looking and well organized. There's hot water, a roomy bathroom and basic entertainment. For stays longer than a day, you have to request room service and things like bottled mineral water, coffee and tea. It's a budget hotel in a very convenient spot, right in the middle of town, close to the waterfront, shops, restaurants, stalls and a shopping complex, all within walking distance. It can get noisy, with planes taking off and landing, loud talk and someone revving a motorbike. I guess the airport is nearby. Still, it was generally okay, with no cockroaches, ants or bed mites.

We used to return here regularly because the rooms were clean, the service was tip-top and the location was convenient. Since the pandemic, though, room cleanliness has been terrible, and some rooms no longer include slippers or toothbrushes like they used to. For the first time, our whole family couldn't rest properly: around 1-2 a.m. a drunken couple next door were fighting, the woman was singing very loudly, and they banged on the door. It made us uncomfortable.

The only issue in my room was a broken fridge. Otherwise, it was perfect: nice and clean, with a 7e next door and coin laundry just a two-minute walk away. Everything is close enough to walk to, and there are Grabs around everywhere, though most of the time you won't need one. Spend a little extra for the jacuzzi room, it's worth it.

The location was good, but the room looked a bit rundown. I booked the jacuzzi room for hot water, but there wasn't enough to fill it, so we ended up with a lukewarm jacuzzi. The listing photo and description said there was a free minibar, but it was only an empty fridge.
