Zainab Cottage is simple but worth the price, and it’s close to the beach. I found the place clean and comfortable, with a refreshing sea breeze that made it easy to unwind away from the busy city. The owner and staff were welcoming and very friendly. I have lovely memories of my stay and will definitely come back. Thanks, Zainab Cottage 👍

The farthest room at the back left me dealing with lots of mosquitoes outside and inside, especially in the toilet. The toilet slippers were so mouldy they looked like Mahatma Gandhi's flip flops. Both towels had odd spots that might have been blood or rust, from small marks up to ones as big as 50 cents. The blanket had holes in it, which rather defeats its purpose. I'm skinny and get cold easily, so it didn’t help at all. This may sound petty, but please take it as constructive criticism about cleanliness.

We could park right in front of our chalet, which was a great perk. Our room was spacious and clean, with two queen beds, an iron and ironing board, a sink, TV, comfy lounge chair, mini dining table, air purifier, air conditioner, water heater, clean towels, and fresh sheets. The beach view was decent, though the area wasn’t very clean while we were there. Maybe the renovation work and trucks had something to do with it.

The pretty beach is an easy walk away, and things were generally good. Cleanliness needs some work, though. If that improves, I’ll definitely come back. P/S: You can feed a few cute stray cats there 🫶🏻, and please don’t litter on the beach, there’s already so much rubbish 😭
