SPOT ON 89994 RZ Gold Hotel

The area was very quiet by 9:30 pm, which made for a good night's sleep. I stayed one night while heading to KB. The couple running the hotel were friendly and helpful, and both the room and sheets were clean and smelled nice. There's also a ceiling fan if you need extra airflow, and the ceiling is high.

I got a very good promotional rate by booking through an app, and for what I paid, the stay felt worth five stars. The room was spacious, the staff were very friendly, and the hotel is centrally located in town. As a budget hotel, the value comes down to what you get for the price. Just keep in mind there are no ground-floor rooms, which could be difficult for elderly guests.

The stairs are quite steep, so families with children or older guests should take note. I was lucky not to have to wait at the counter to check in, even during the festive season, though some people had complained about slow service. The staff were really friendly. It's a simple, cool, air-conditioned room, and the small bathroom was clean and just right. The hotel is in the middle of town, within walking distance of the market, mosque, bank, and places to eat. For a small-town budget motel, it's a good place to rest at a reasonable price, as long as you don't expect a big-city five-star hotel.

There aren't many places to stay in KK, so I suppose this is about what you'd expect for the price. The owner was friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. The room was basic, with just one thin blanket. The bathroom was basically a toilet with a shower added as an afterthought, and the floor stayed wet because the cistern leaked. The Wi-Fi didn't work.
