The place is cozy and intimate, and the prices are affordable. The owner was very welcoming, and the location is great if you want to be close to everything in KL. My one concern was the bed, so check that the sheets and pillows are clean before paying.

There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and street food stalls nearby, and the hosts were lovely. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the location very central. It’s really good value for money. You’re in the center of a city with another 1.7 million people, so there’s noise. I’m sensitive to it, but earplugs let me sleep well. One tip: the entrance is the one in the photo. Google Maps sent me to the back of the house, and I had to walk around the block before I found it.

We arrived before check-in and wanted to head out, so the owners kindly let us leave our things in a back room. The yellow building is easy to spot, though Google Maps points to the back entrance. Our room for six worked well for our group of five, though I’m not sure how comfortable it would be with a sixth person. It has a queen bed and a single bed on the main level, plus two single beds in an attic-like upper area reached by ladder. The private bathroom was clean and really nice, and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The owners can also do laundry for RM7 to wash and RM7 to dry. Great value, especially so close to Jalan Alor and its night food market.

The person in charge let us in early and stored our bags so we didn’t have to carry them around. He was friendly and humble, and the owners are lucky to have him. The waiting area looks like the photos and is a nice spot for pictures, though it gets dim after dark. I didn’t make it there in the afternoon, which might be a better time. For RM7x, the space and cleanliness were okay, and the toilet was a good size. But the air conditioning seemed faulty and old, so we didn’t sleep deeply. Worse, a leaking pipe meant the water kept cutting out. The staff member opened the tank, but after I’d bathed for a while, the water stopped again. He bought me a few bottles of water so I could finish bathing, though I didn’t feel they were clean enough. If they’d refunded me, I’d still consider giving five stars, but they didn’t. I wouldn’t recommend it based on my stay, though I hope your next visit goes better.
