Arenaa Star Hotel

The stay was average, with some basic amenities and reception staff who were manageable, though a little rude and in need of better hospitality training. The worst part was the advertising: some online photos seem to be from the nearby Kingson Hotel, which gives people booking Arena Star Hotel the wrong impression. Our room was very small and had a strong, musty smell. The bathroom felt temporary, with damaged or loose fittings, and the washroom door didn’t have a proper lock, which was uncomfortable. The hotel needs to improve its maintenance, room freshness, customer service, and advertising honesty. It wasn’t the worst stay, but there’s a lot to fix.

This felt like a scam. We booked this hotel, but when we arrived they said it had been changed and sent us to the place next door, which had the same name. Our experience there was awful. Room 535 was bad, and we could hear the neighbors talking. The AC was loud, the bathroom fan was VERY loud, and there were other noises that made it hard to sleep. The toilet bidet was bad too, and the room smelled of smoke and cigarettes. Staff don’t reply on WhatsApp, they just leave the message on blue tick. I don’t think you should stay there.

We checked in over the weekend. The staff were helpful, and one person helped carry my bag from the parking area while I was taking care of the kids. The housekeeper was helpful too, and our room was satisfying, clean, and otherwise okay. I can’t speak for other rooms. My only complaint is that the cups and glasses at the Cafe need a more thorough wash. Also, noisy next door guests can be annoying, but thankfully security came to help 😀

I felt unsafe during this stay. While I was in my room, a room service staff member came in without asking. He spoke to me in a personal, inappropriate way, and even after I asked several times for him to leave, he didn’t go right away. It left me disturbed. The hotel needs to take this seriously and protect guests’ privacy and safety.
