The apartments were grimy, and waiting around made a bad arrival even worse. Our group of 16 adults, with 16 travel bags, stood in the foyer for about 40 minutes for our 'host'. Inside, the floors were dirty, the beds had linen that looked as if the previous guests had just used it, and there were blood spots on the sheets. Used earbuds and leftover food were on the floor, crayon marks were on the walls, the fridge still held the previous occupants' leftovers, and the cutlery and utensils in the drawers and cupboards were grimy. On arrival, the 'host' asked us to pay cash instead of using the card payment we'd agreed on. He seemed shady in every way. We called his 'bosses' and got several apologies and empty promises. When we asked for clean sheets for the bedrooms, the 'manager' said he didn't have any.
