DeFace Platinum Suites

My friend and I stayed for one day and had a really great time. The room was neat, tidy, and very comfortable, and the beautiful infinity pool was the highlight. One thing to plan for: the sockets are Type-G only, not the regular plug points we use in India. We had to buy an adapter from the hotel, so it’s better to bring one. Apart from that, everything was amazing.

The guards were helpful and showed us to the correct reception and parking area, thankfully. The parking itself was confusing and there were no proper directions. Check-in took almost an hour, checkout was by 11am, and the RM500 deposit is ridiculous. The receptionists were unfriendly and unhelpful, and couldn’t communicate or do their job properly. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It was a waste of money.

The lifts were the main downside, with long waits to go up to our room and back down because there were so many guests and not enough elevators. Families with strollers or lots of luggage should keep that in mind at busy times. Still, we had a fantastic New Year’s Eve stay for one night with our young child. Our spacious, very clean room had an unobstructed view of the fireworks from both Merdeka 118 and KL Tower, which made it feel like a private celebration. We didn’t use the pool or hotel restaurants during the short visit, but ordering food to the room through GrabFood was easy. For a special occasion with a young family, the comfort and view worked perfectly.

Month of stay: Mar 2026. We stayed two nights and really loved the apartment, and would like to come back. We booked Platinum Suites Deface from LUMA through Agoda, paid about Rs. 13200 for the two nights in Indian rupees roughly a month before check-in, and got the 9th apartment on the 35th floor. It felt like an AirBnB apartment, with a lot of space and amenities: washing machine, microwave, hair dryer, induction, open kitchen with an island, iron and board, and a transparent shower area. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the bedroom and living room gave us a view across the city. The spring bed was okay for two nights, though I expected it to be more comfortable. Platinum Suites has apartments managed by different vendors, including LUMA and THE FACE. There are two buildings, Platinum Suites and Platinum Suites 2, next to each other. Platinum Suites 2 is the more premium one, and from its pool you can see Petronas Twin Towers, KL tower, and Merdeka 118. From Platinum Suites, Petronas Twin Towers aren’t visible. The pool is on the 51st floor, and the views are amazing, especially in the evening. It's an infinity pool. Each vendor has a receptionist in the ground-floor lobby. Bags can be left at the concierge for free. At check-in they charge a RM 500 deposit, returned in full if everything checks out after their thorough scan, otherwise they deduct accordingly. They give you a room key and access card. The card is used in the lift to reach your floor, but not for common areas like the lobby or pool floor. You do need it to enter the swimming pool. There’s a restaurant on the ground floor, but we mostly ate out, with several convenience stores nearby, including 7/11. Smelly foods like Durian aren’t allowed in the apartment. There are four lifts, and it takes around 1-2 minutes to reach the 35th floor from the ground. The place is near Dang Wangi train station and Bukit Nanas monorail station, making it easy to take public transport to sights such as Petronas and Aquaria KLCC.
