Element by Marriott Kuala Lumpur

The staff were fantastic, especially at reception, and the room was immaculate and comfortable. We came from London for one night before travelling elsewhere in Malaysia, arriving around 8am after a smooth airport transfer. Our room wasn’t due until 3pm, but they did their best and got us checked in at 10:30am, which we really appreciated. The location gave us fantastic city views and felt manageable for first-time visitors, especially after a long flight. Highly recommended.

The apartment was huge, with a kitchen and a large fridge, and the city views were amazing. The staff were attentive and very friendly, and the location made it easy to get around, with the metro nearby. A few areas could use some attention. It smelled of cigarettes when we arrived, though running the A/C for a while cleared it up.

I was there for one night and, as a Gold member, they recognized me and upgraded me to a suite. The property feels fairly new, is well maintained, and seems well suited to longer stays. Hotel guests can get free coffee in the 40th floor lobby. Had a great experience and would come back when I’m in town.

I’ve attended business meetings here, and the setting works naturally for both formal and casual conversations. The lobby has an elegant, corporate feel, with a water feature that keeps the space calm. The complimentary fruit in the room is a nice little touch, and having Ilham Gallery in the same building gives you somewhere extra to explore. Element Kuala Lumpur sits higher up than the usual city hotels, and the inside feels quieter and more composed, which suited me in the KLCC area. It’s within walking distance of the LRT and Masjid Al-Syakirin, and KLCC Park isn’t far either.
