Fumah Hotel

I stayed from 30th Dec to 1st Jan 2025, and the experience was horrible. The hotel is right in front of a graveyard, which made walking back past it scary and gave me chills. The first room had a huge cockroach under the bed blankets within five minutes of checking in. I went to reception for another room, and a cockroach crawled out from under the bed in that second room too. I had to change rooms three times during a two night stay. In the third room I was scared to sleep, wondering if more cockroaches would appear. The carpet was dirty and rotten, there were spider webs on the walls, the TV didn’t work, and most of the room was extremely dusty. The amenities were inadequate, with only two sachets of shampoo and body wash. The bathroom smelled musty, and I’m not sure the bedsheets were even washed. I’d never recommend anyone stay here. The price may seem affordable, but the experience makes it the worst decision you could make. Minus 0 out of 10.

There were cockroaches all over the rooms, and the hygiene was awful. Please improve it. The curtains were stained, and hygiene should be a priority in a hotel. I booked through Trip.com. If you use Trip.com, don’t get scammed by the pictures. The hotel is dirty.

The hotel itself is quite okay, and the price is really affordable. The staff were very nice, friendly, and helpful, so I enjoyed my stay. Finding a parking space can be difficult, though.

The room was clean, nice, and spacious, but that’s about the only good thing I can say. It’s a budget hotel, so I didn’t expect much, but the problems still added up. There’s a hole in the ceiling with the smoke detector hanging on for dear life. The Wi-Fi was very slow much of the time, sometimes unusable on the 2nd floor, though it was nice and fast in the lobby. The walls are paper thin, which I expected and didn’t find a deal breaker. The TV didn’t work, and the hot shower was barely lukewarm. The streets were noisy, with construction going on from 3am-7am. Room service only cleans if you ask at reception, and sometimes nobody came even after I asked. The staff were nice to a point, but that’s the bare minimum. A food court across the hotel was nice and cheap, though cash only. There’s a coin laundry nearby and a nice cafe close by, kim & savini cafe.
