KL Bintang Suites @ Times Square

The apartment itself was clean and well equipped, and the view from the 24th floor was lovely both day and night. The area felt lively and safe, with the local market and mall especially close by, and everything else in the city was easy to reach. We enjoyed our stay, and our host was friendly and helpful whenever we had a question. Even though we’d told them when we’d arrive, we had trouble getting hold of the host once we got there.

After booking on Agoda, we reached East Gate Time Squares KL and found that the operator had given me an old phone number. Someone kept cancelling my calls. A man then offered a similar room in Tower B for 200Rm. With all our luggage, we felt we had no choice but to accept. He asked for cash and gave no receipt. We registered on 17Apr25 at Tower A-30-** around 4pm, but a Bangladesh man, looking shabby, led us to Tower B to check in on floor 28-**. I strongly believe someone set this up. Later I noticed the key card holder was operated by SA Classic Property, which runs KL Bintang Suite, Queen Suite and KL Service Apartment, all at Time Squares KL. I’ve reported this to Agoda and plan to complain to the rental company. I hope this helps other travellers and stops it happening again. Sad that this happened in KL.

I just checked out, and my deposit wasn’t returned. At the start I asked how much a late checkout would cost, but the owner never explained it. The room was old, dirty, and dusty, and my child even had an allergic reaction. Be careful, you could get cheated. Room 2309.

What upset me most was how badly the manager communicated. He doesn’t read messages. I was shocked to learn he’d cancelled my three-night reservation even though I’d called from the train and arrived at the hotel at 6 pm. I had not cancelled it. He eventually found me a room, but it had shabby old furniture and it was late, so I stayed. The AC wasn’t working well, and neither was the telly. The pool was nice but full of screaming kids. The hallway carpet and windows looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the carpet stank.
