Melange Boutique Hotel

We felt welcome thanks to the warm, friendly staff. The room was very clean and the price was quite reasonable. There are lots of good places to eat close by, and the MRT is very near too. Highly recommended!

I only meant to stay overnight, but wound up spending three nights here. It’s a cheerful budget place, with welcoming, helpful staff and rooms that are comfortable and practical. Jalan Alor food Street is just a stone's throw away, and there’s a row of western style pubs a two minute walk from the hotel. I’ll stay here again when I’m back in KL.

The room was comfortable, with cold AC, lots of TV channels, hot water in the shower, a mini fridge and a bit of soundproofing. It’s a decent spot to rest your head, and access feels safe since the hotel stays locked and guests need a card to get in. The area outside can be noisy, and the road gets kind of dirty because of the night market. I also saw lots of drunkards passed out. Bring friends if you’re planning to stay here.

There’s often loud noise from outside at night, and the washroom has no lock, with a transparent lower section that could affect privacy. Guest rooms are otherwise satisfactory, and the staff are courteous and helpful. The location is convenient for Jalan Alor Night Market and other shopping malls. Breakfast is available, but you have to choose from six set options and order a day ahead. I didn’t like the choices very much.
