Moxy Kuala Lumpur Chinatown

At Moxy Kuala Lumpur Chinatown, Mr Syed Badrul at reception gave us a complimentary upgrade to an Executive Room, and the excellent view over KL made our stay extra special. The room was stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Breakfast was simple but had a great range of choices. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the hospitality, and the convenient location near the old eateries. We'd definitely stay again! 😊

The hotel has a really comfortable, convenient concept, and I enjoyed my five-day stay. My bunk bed felt plush and cozy, and slept very comfortably. The room was a good size, and the window glass was crystal clear. I liked the hooks instead of a wardrobe. From the 14th floor I could barely hear the LRT, which is often a bit loud. The bar and pool on the ninth floor made a relaxing, spacious area, with a view down over the city. The café food was surprisingly tasty and marvelous, definitely not average hotel food. Staff were very polite and helpful, and always greeted guests. Pasar Seni is a six-minute walk, LRT Masjid Jamek is three minutes away on foot, and Berjaya Times Square is nearby if you're driving.

The bar and pool are really cozy, and the staff there were lovely. Anamul and his colleagues served us delicious cocktails and took great care of us. The hotel also has a fun lounge with lots of games, a quiet, very nice gym, and laundry facilities. Our room was spotless, roomy enough, and had plenty of hanging space, with incredible city views. The China Town location is great, and I’d pay a little extra for a better view since those rooms are on higher floors.

The lobby sets the tone here, with a lively social-club feel instead of the usual hotel reception. The Moxy Crew were upbeat, friendly, and welcoming, and the whole place was spotless. The location is hard to beat for walking to markets, street food, and cultural sights around Chinatown. Rooms look modern and stylish, though they’re quite small, especially if you have a lot of bags or want more space. Breakfast was underwhelming too, and could use more variety or better quality. I’d choose Moxy Kuala Lumpur Chinatown again for the atmosphere. It seems best suited to solo travelers or couples who care more about style and location than room size.
