OYO 141 Hotel 1915 Kuala Lumpur

During my three days and two nights there, I had to change rooms four times because of ongoing problems. The first room had no water. In the second, the power tripped whenever I tried to charge my phone. I asked to move as soon as it happened, but staff kept saying, “all full already.” They came back several times to look at the electricity and even stood on the bed to fix it, but the issue wasn’t properly resolved. The next room’s door couldn’t be locked from inside. Staff said it couldn’t be opened from outside, but that didn’t address the safety and privacy concern. No alternative room was offered that night, so I had to stay there without being able to lock the door from inside. I was finally able to move on the second day, after other guests checked out. I understand rooms might only open up then. What I can’t accept is how staff handled repeated requests from the start. They kept dismissing me with “all full already” instead of helping or offering a proper solution. The lack of water, repeated power failures, unsafe room conditions, and poor handling caused a lot of stress and inconvenience. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had, and I strongly don’t recommend staying here.

The only thing this place has going for it is that it’s kind of cheap, which fits the quality and service. There’s no daily room service, not even to change the towels. They charge a tourism tax of 10rm per room per night, something I’d never heard of before. The bathroom doors only slide halfway open, and there’s basically no water pressure in the shower or bidet. One night the water ran out completely. The elevator doesn’t work, and it doesn’t look like they’ll repair it soon, so good luck with heavy luggage.

Getting to the hotel is easy, with the LRT nearby. The room was small, which made it hard for me to pray, and the view wasn't as good as the Agoda ads showed.

For RM60 a night, I thought the room was worth it. The location is convenient, the room was in decent shape, and there was an ironing facility. In Room 106, though, the bathroom door wouldn't lock and the TV had no signal. It'd be great if those could be fixed.
