OYO 43927 Sassana Hotel (Sanitized Stay)

Right in the middle of the infamous Petaling Street, the location was very strategic. My double room was a good size, and check-in went smoothly. The staff were friendly, and the floor and sheets were clean, though the sheet had a few holes. The duvet was super nice and I slept well. I’d give cleanliness 8/10 and staff friendliness 9/10.

I’ve stayed here twice, both times in the same small room. It had no windows, but it was clean, with a comfortable bed and hot shower. It’s a two-star budget hotel in the petaling market, so that’s about what you can expect. The fourth floor has no lift, and it’s not a beautiful or especially comfortable place, but who cares? If I come back to KL for a long, low-budget trip around Asia, I’ll stay here again.

The hotel is inside petaling street, so if you drive, you’ll have to park quite far away. There’s a hot water dispenser by reception, and each floor has an iron and board in the hallway. The room was neat, but there was quite a bit of debris on the bed. The toilet has no lock, apparently by design, not because it’s broken.

I was there from April 1 through April 30. The two women at reception were polite and helpful. Some rooms are very small, and some have cockroaches. After three or four days, one of the women moved me into a bigger room, and I had no further problems. It’s the best budget hotel if you’re staying in China town.
