The location is handy, with restaurants easy to find and Pavilion nearby. The room was clean and the air conditioner cooled well, though the room was a little small. The downstairs toilet smelled bad and its lock didn't work; the upstairs one was usable but a bit dirty. For the price, it was good enough. Parking seemed a little expensive at about RM20 per entry, even though we only parked for one night.

The room was moldy, and the sheets were dirty and smelled, yet the receptionist, Charlotte, tried to take money from our security deposit because a towel had makeup on it. We've traveled around SE Asia for four months and never been charged for makeup on a towel, which seems pretty normal. We also extended our stay by two nights and were overcharged. When we raised that with the receptionist, she became rude and aggressive, and we're still trying to get the extra money back. Booking gave us a $25 credit and sent the property a note saying it's inappropriate to charge guests for using towels. It's ironic given how unclean the sheets and towels looked. Avoid this disgusting hotel and its scamming staff.
I work nights and sleep from morning until afternoon, and the curtains meant I had no trouble sleeping. The bed was very comfortable, and the temperature in the cubicle felt just right. P.S. I didn't see any rats, but they chewed my medicine, soap, and food, which was funny.
I booked through Airbnb, and the location was great, close to everything I wanted to see. The stay seemed fine until I saw the room: it was tiny and didn't look new, and the bathroom was so dirty I didn't want to use it. If you're six feet tall, you can barely stand straight in there, let alone shower comfortably. The door wouldn't close all the way, so light came in from the hallway, and there was no soundproofing. I woke to people having sex next door. On the second night, brown water came out of the tap. For that price, I'd book a shared room in an apartment instead, where you might get better facilities, maybe even a gym and pool.
Food is everywhere nearby, and getting around by public transport is easy. I really liked staying here for a couple of nights. I used the female dorm, and maybe it was because nobody else was in the shared room, but it worked well. The location is perfect, the room is cheap, and the bed, bathroom, lighting and phone charging cable were all good. Free towel too, and the air conditioning was cool.
