Oyo 91036 J Capsule Hotel Jalan Bukit

The whole place smelled bad, with cigarette and flavored vape smoke in the air all night. I couldn't sleep well. On a busy Saturday night in bukit bintang, there were only two people in the female dorm, including me. The toilet and bathroom were in bad condition, with water leaking inside and the rug just outside the entrance soaking wet. I didn't feel safe enough to shower. There was no toilet paper in any of the toilets. I told the reception guy, who was a foreign worker, and he said there was none, and that his boss never buys it. I also saw a man standing outside the female dorm, peeping in from the common corridor. Later, I was shocked to see a man walk into the female dorm and use its toilet. The place felt unsafe, like anyone could get into the women's room unnoticed. The smoky air made everything worse. Avoid this place.

The location is right in the city centre, with lots of good places within walking distance. For around 8$ a night, the price felt justified. The bed was clean and really comfortable, and the AC kept the room at a good sleeping temperature. My highlight was the service. The two people at reception were lovely, friendly and caring, and always up for a nice chat. I'd love to come back!

This is a good spot for travelers who want a quiet place to stay, though it's not much of a social space. The staff are friendly, so you can always chat with them. The bathrooms were clean and the location felt safe. You’re right in the city, a few minutes on foot from two monorail lines, a bus line, street food, malls, restaurants, and massage parlors. The street stays busy late into the night and early morning, and you can hear some of the noise from the hostel, but it wasn't too bad. The capsules and beds were comfortable and a good size for me, though I kept bumping into the side walls. I imagine someone taller might not enjoy them as much.

There was no daily cleaning, the place was full of insects, and it smelled of sweat and a bad bathroom. The receptionist spoke to customers with disgust, and there was no air conditioning. An employee wasn't allowed to talk on the phone, but he spoke loudly until 4:00 a.m. We cancelled the booking and left because of him. He was very bad, and the owner should pay attention to the workers.
