Peninsula Residents All Suite

I spent almost five years here, and the location was the only good part. My apartment was small and very outdated, and the building manager was rude and unfriendly, so we were always fighting. On weekends, the fast cars, bikes, and police are really loud because the building is on a main road. I wouldn't come back even if it were free.

I picked this place because it was the closest hotel to the Prometrics Testing Centre in KL, but I had to find somewhere else right away. There was no front desk for check-in, and this is really a condo for rent, not a hotel. The room smelled of cigarettes, while the corridor had a stale food and onion smell. The furnishings were very old, and the toilet and shower were full of mildew and broken equipment. The worst place I've ever stayed in.

I wanted to check the closest hotel to the Prometric Test Center, and Peninsula Residence was first on the list. Google Maps had quite a few negative reviews, so I went to see it in person before booking. There was no reception counter on the ground floor, only a notice saying it was on Level 5. I went up but couldn't find it there either, and there were no staff or security around to ask for help. The building also had a strong, strange wooden smell as soon as I entered, which made it feel unwelcoming. The place is run down, with mold throughout the toilet and shower area, bedbugs in the bed, and no security lock on the door. The guards are basically nonexistent. There's a strong stale food and onion smell in the corridor, and the car park is full of abandoned cars, which feels spooky and disturbing. The location is really inconvenient, with just one road in. Coming back from PJ means going all the way up to Jalan Parlimen to turn back toward Jalan Duta. The nearest food options, Jalan Dungub, Jalan Batai, and Bangsar, aren't within walking distance. There are lots of cockroaches, including ones that fly, so you could get attacked by them at any time. The whole place has an eerie feel and I'm pretty sure it's haunted. I clearly remember closing the room's sliding door before bed, but it was open later. Things from the “dressing table” also mysteriously ended up on the floor some distance away. The place is full of cockroaches and ghosts, if that's the kind of fun you're looking for.
